Lindeneau PAWS Mentoring Program

TITLE 1 Lindeneau School PAWS Mentoring Program

The Lindeneau PAWS (Partnerships for Academic Success, Wellness, and Social Learning) Program would be comprised of 12-15 adult mentors from across the school, each one paired with three to five identified students. Mentees and mentors would follow a set schedule to help nurture a sense of belonging and build meaningful engagement so that all students, regardless of barriers, have the same opportunities to learn, flourish and succeed. Key components of the Lindeneau PAWS Program include:

• Weekly mentorship meetings between mentors and mentees.
• Focused training to build relationships between mentors and mentees in order to encourage school engagement and help remove barriers to school success.
• Regular interactions between mentors and mentees that evolve into significant personal connections that are sustained over time.
• Meaningful opportunities to deepen the mentees' sense of connection to the school and community.
• Schoolwide mentorship events to engage the larger school community.

Program Date and Times:

• 12-15 teachers will be provided 1 hour per week for a maximum of 4 hours a month to conduct sessions with their mentees.
• September 2026-May 2027

Time:

Before and After School; Lunch Periods

Rate of Pay:

• $30 per hour (1 student)
• $37 per hour (2 students)
• $40 per hour (3 - 5 students)
