Primary Objective of Position: Assist and support the purchasing agent and building managers as required. The line buyer is responsible for ensuring work is completed timely and accurately. Maintaining positive internal and external relationships is critical to the success of this role.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Accurately reorder any items/parts as needed pertaining to cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with vendors for buying needs and quality issues.
  • Run daily reports to help communicate with suppliers on the status of requisitions, and orders.
  • Assist Purchasing Agent with parts when needed (expedite part shortages for items of coverage on cycle counts).
  • Responsible for managing obsolete materials
  • Assist and provide support for Purchasing Agent regarding vendors issues
  • Place "Hot Orders" at the request of the Purchasing Agent
  • Manage vendor returns for the building timely and accurately
  • Track and report on daily offline reports and prepare weekly data graphs for the Plant Manager.
  • Prepare the weekly Working Capital Report.
  • Address invoice issues with the accounting department
  • Manage vendor cycle counts, building cycle counts, and order confirmation.
  • Complete a daily shortage walk to monitor in-house inventory movement.
  • Answer any radio calls from receivers and lines.
  • Assist in quarterly inventory control process.
  • Run track reports for the receivers.
  • Ad hoc requests as needed

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook email)
  • Broad knowledge of RV products and components is required
  • Analytical and strong communication skills are necessary
