Line Cook - Akron General

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a world-class hospital in Akron, OH to hire a full-time Line Cook. We are hiring for first and second shift opportunities with a pay range of $15-17/hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production standards 
• Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning, and ingredient setup 
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards 
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift 
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently 
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service 
• Monitor food quality, temperatures, and inventory as needed 
• Follow all departmental and facility policies and procedures 

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required 
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant cooking or food service experience 
• Previous line cook experience required 
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety 

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM 
• 2nd Shift: 11:00 – 7:30 PM 
  • Both shifts will be rotating weekends and holidays
