    Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Boyne City, MI. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and stocking stations, prepping ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring food quality and consistency during service. The Line Cook will maintain a clean and organized work area, follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, and support the kitchen team during peak hours. This role also involves communicating with other staff, managing ticket times, and assisting with closing and cleaning duties as needed.\n

    • Experience as a line cook or in a similar back-of-house role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

    • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and safe operation of kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, and knives).

    • Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices.

    • Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards with attention to detail and consistency.

    • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize multiple tickets.

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a respectful and collaborative approach to coworkers and leadership.

    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds, and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • \n
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • \n
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; formal culinary training is a plus but not required.
    • \n
    • Reliable transportation to Boyne City, MI, and a consistent, punctual attendance record.
