Pit Master - Butcher N' Barbeque

Butcher n' Barbeque (BnB) is looking for a Pit Master who takes real pride in the fire, the smoke, and the meat.

At BnB, we hand-cut our own meats and butcher Florida-bred, grass-fed beef from Steelbach cattle raised right here in Kenansville, FL. Our menu is built on house-smoked meats, made-to-order sandwiches, classic Southern sides, and sauces made from scratch, all served out of our stall at the historic Armature Works in Tampa.

BnB is looking for an experienced and dependable Pit Master to join our team. Must have experience with smoking and preparing meats, maintaining proper temperatures, food quality, prep, and food safety standards. We are looking for someone who is reliable, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is a strong team player. Flexible availability is required, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.** Position pays **$20/hour plus tips**.

What You'll Do

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours
• Maintain accurate food inventories
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized throughout and at the end of your shift
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume setting
• Working knowledge of basic culinary techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Florida Food Handler Certification

Physical Requirements

• Remain standing for extended periods throughout the shift
• Bending, squatting, and lifting up to 15 lbs. for short distances
• Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with varying noise levels
