Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. They work as part of a fast-paced team to ensure meals are prepared accurately, efficiently, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook food according to recipes and customer specifications.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently to meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Monitor food inventory and notify supervisors of shortages or supply needs.
- Properly store and label food items to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
