We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing and cooking menu items efficiently and effectively.
Duties:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Adhere to proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience:
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team.
A background in dietary departments or menu planning is a plus but not required.
