Summary: Seeking a reliable, energetic line cook to join our kitchen team at a new neighborhood restaurant. You ll prepare dishes to recipe standards, maintain station cleanliness, and help deliver consistent, high-quality food during service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portioning, and presentation specifications
  • Set up and stock assigned station before service; ensure mise en place is complete
  • Execute orders accurately and in a timely manner during peak service
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and plating standards
  • Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handwashing procedures
  • Monitor inventory at station; rotate stock and report low items to supervisor
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and assist with end-of-shift cleaning tasks
  • Collaborate with cooks, sous chef, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Adhere to portion control and waste-reduction practices
  • Assist with prep work, receiving, and unpacking deliveries as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a line cook or in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen preferred (0 2+ years acceptable for entry-level)
  • Basic knowledge of cooking methods, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
  • Food Handler s card or willingness to obtain (if required by local regulations)
  • Ability to read recipes, follow directions, and maintain consistency
  • Capacity to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; flexible scheduling
