We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about food and looking to showcase their culinary skills. Nights and weekends required. Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Follow recipes and ensure portion control to deliver consistent quality - Monitor food stock levels and notify the chef or supervisor when supplies are running low - Maintain a clean and organized work station - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service - Assist with meal preparation for catering events, as needed Requirements: - Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant role - Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques - Proficiency in using various kitchen equipment, including knives and grills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with different cooking techniques and cuisines - Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting
