As a Line Cook at Tunxis Country Club, you will work under the direction of our Head Chef to prepare and cook menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness, while efficiently executing dishes during service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Monitor food stock and assist in inventory management
Experiment with and suggest new menu items and seasonal dishes
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree preferred
Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, equipment, and food safety standards
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
