Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on food preparation to support our café, bakery, and deli operations and is ideal for someone who works well independently and takes pride in consistent, high-quality prep work.What You'll DoPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standardsSet up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during serviceEnsure all food is cooked, plated, and served in a timely mannerMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstationsFollow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all timesAssist with prep work and closing duties as neededWork closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient serviceWork Schedule: 03:30 pm - 12:00 am Fri - TuePay & Compensation: $18-$22 per hour + tips (team members typically earn up to $25-27/hr)Benefits:We offer competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.Required QualificationsPrevious experience as a line cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchenAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasksStrong teamwork and communication skillsKnowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standardsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsReliability, punctuality, and strong work ethicKnowledge of Ukrainian or Eastern European cuisine is a plus
