Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Assist with cooking and food assembly to support the culinary team in delivering timely meals.
  • Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and prepping items in advance.
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and excellent food service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings.
  • Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
