Woodbine Inn and Restaurant in Madisonville, TX is looking for a talented and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute menu items consistently according to restaurant recipes and standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
Manage food prep tasks including chopping, portioning, marinating, and cooking
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket execution during service
Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage to minimize waste
Follow all food safety and health code regulations at all times
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Food Handler's Certification is a plus or willingness to obtain one
Complete a Background Check
Hours/Schedule
Ability to work every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1:00p until closing
Ability to work day-shifts on holidays such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving
