Job Summary
The Line Cook position prepared and cooks food using techniques and procedures established by the Executive Chef and delivers product on a timely basis. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Attendance, punctuality and dependability; adaptability; professionalism; initiative, planning/organizing; teamwork, ethics customer service and, safety and security.
Essential Job Functions
- Reads menu to estimate food requirements
- Prepares food at the highest standards
- Delivers food in a timely manner to servers, residents, guests and staff
- Mentors other staff as appropriate
- Preps food
- Complies with all Highlands policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to interface with diverse staff with positivity
- Ability to apply common sense understanding regarding instructions

Qualifications
- Saute Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year certification for college or technical school preferred
- Have current food handler's card
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Successfully pass drug screen
- Weekend availabilit
