Job Summary:

We are looking to add an additional dependable and dedicated Line Cook to our culinary team at Preston Pointe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our senior residents and demonstrate a commitment to food quality, safety, consistency, and kitchen cleanliness.

The Line Cook will prepare assigned menu items, work designated cooking stations, and follow established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. This position works closely with other members of the culinary and dining teams to ensure meals are prepared accurately, consistently, and on schedule while contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain food safety and workplace safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of a team with excellent customer service skills
• Prepare, cook, portion, and present menu items following established guidelines, recipes, and presentation standards
• Follow proper food preparation, cooking, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas, coolers, and storage areas
• Monitor food quality and consistency throughout preparation and meal service
• Assist other members of the culinary team as needed to support timely and efficient meal service
• Report food supply shortages, product quality concerns, and equipment issues to the Culinary Director

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• 2-3 years of professional coking experience, preferably in mid-upscale restaurant
• Culinary school certification preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of food preparation and commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Successful background check
• Pre-employment physical and drug test
