Reefers is hiring an experienced Line Cook to join our crew as we head into busy season.

Located outside Cafe DaVinci in Downtown DeLand, Reefers is our fast paced, late night BakeChop Co. concept serving scratch made food completely to go.

We press tortillas fresh, make our rice and sauces in house, roll burritos, build bowls and loaded fries, fry wings, and serve really good food right in the middle of Downtown DeLand nightlife.

This is a very independent position, so we’re looking for someone who can cook, communicate, stay organized, and take care of guests without needing constant direction.

What This Job Looks Like

At Reefers, you are not just cooking.

You’ll be:

• Cooking and assembling orders

• Taking guest orders

• Cashing customers out

• Answering menu questions

• Providing friendly, upbeat customer service

• Keeping your station stocked and organized

• Handling prep

• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety

• Closing down your station properly

• Working independently and taking ownership of your shift

Because all food is to go, customer service is a huge part of this position.

We need someone who is comfortable talking to people, greeting guests, helping them order, handling payments, and keeping a positive attitude even when there is a line and tickets are coming in fast.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous line cook experience required

• Strong customer service skills

• Comfortable operating a POS and cashing guests out

• Comfortable working independently

• Evening and late night availability

• Fast, organized, and able to multitask

• Strong sense of urgency

• Able to stay calm and positive during busy rushes

• Comfortable working grill, fryer, prep, and assembly

• Able to follow recipes and maintain consistency

• Reliable and self motivated

• Strong cleanliness and food safety habits

• Willing to prep, cook, clean, stock, close, and do whatever needs to get done

Our menu focuses on fresh, scratch made food including:

• Fresh pressed tortillas

• Burritos

• Burrito bowls

• House made rice and sauces

• Loaded fries

• Chicken wings

• Scratch made proteins and toppings

• Late night food that is fast, fresh, and made with care

The Reefers Vibe

Reefers is small, fast, fun, and right in the middle of the action.

You’ll be working outside Cafe DaVinci during busy downtown nights, so you need to enjoy working with people and be comfortable being the face of the concept while also running the food.

As we move into busy season, we’re looking for someone dependable who can step in, learn the operation, and confidently handle a shift.
