Position Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to Golfzon Social's recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest. We're looking for a dependable, motivated Line Cook who takes pride in preparing quality food in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and cooks menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Ensures food quality, consistency, and timely ticket execution
- Follows all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Properly stores, labels, rotates, and stocks food products using FIFO procedures
- Assists with daily prep work and kitchen opening and closing duties
- Communicates effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Monitors product quality and notifies management of inventory needs
- Maintains equipment and reports maintenance issues promptly
- Supports fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications:
- One to two years of line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
