The Line Cook at Golfzon Social Scarsdale is responsible for preparing menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to quality. This position plays a key role in delivering a great guest experience by ensuring all food is prepared accurately and presented to standard. Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook all menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines. - Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout service. - Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Follow proper food safety, holding temperatures, labeling, and storage procedures. - Assist with daily prep, station setup, and end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning. - Ensure all products are rotated properly using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method. - Uphold high standards of food consistency and quality during peak service times. - Report any equipment issues, product shortages, or safety concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tickets at once. - Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation. - Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and safety procedures. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. - Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
