We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Cook to join our team and help deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and plays a key part in creating a positive dining experience for our residents and guests.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate meals according to recipes and presentation standards
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining room staff
- Assist with meal planning, special events, and dietary accommodations
- Monitor inventory and notify leadership of supply needs
- Support dining operations as needed (serving, bussing, dishwashing, room service)
- Adapt quickly to changing needs, including troubleshooting food shortages
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2+ years of kitchen or cooking experience
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service mindset
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work weekends and holidays
- Current food handler’s permit (or ability to obtain)
Physical & Work Environment
- Active kitchen setting with exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of kitchen equipment including ovens, knives, mixers, and slicers
