Our client, Pocono Farms Country Club (Tobyhanna, PA), is seeking an experienced LINE COOK to join our culinary team at Lakeside Grill & Pub. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and is eager to grow their culinary skills in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
* Set up and stock assigned stations with all necessary supplies
* Ensure food is prepared and presented with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
* Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and basic food preparation
* Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service
* Support banquet and event execution as needed
Qualifications
* 1-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred (restaurant, hotel, or country club)
* Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized under pressure
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
