Line Cook, Tucker's Italian

Pay 15-16 starting. Am Shift can be as early as 6 AM-1:30 PM but more commonly 8 AM-3PM, and PM is usually 2 PM to 10 PM, some mid-shift. (closing should never be later than 10:30-11:00). Family meal provided every shift.Sundays off, major holidays (Thanksg/Xmas/NYD/Mother's Day) always off. Three restaurants, room for advancement.Tucker's Italian is hiring one full time (or two part time) cooks. Tucker's bakes all bread in house, makes handmade pasta, cures meats, wood fired grill. We are open breakfast, lunch and dinner. Responsibilities include:*prepping food for service*long-term projects such as curing and smoking meats*small-item butchering*working the line during one or more of the shifts*deep cleans by dayKnife skills are definitely a plus. This is a scratch kitchen. The menu is traditional southern Italian cooking, not meant to be fancy. Good selection of wine, beer on tap, located just down the street from the Alamodome, near downtown. Opens at 8 AM, closes at 9 PM, so we are dine and out before 11. This is the sister restaurant to Il Forno Pizzeria in Southtown, The menu here is more pasta heavy, strong sautee skills will be much appreciated.
