Line Cook â Hotel & Event Venue (AM & PM Shifts Available)
Temporary Position with Opportunity for Permanent Hire
Are you an experienced line cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen? We're seeking dependable, energetic Line Cooks to join the culinary team at a busy hotel and event venue. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a high-volume hospitality environment with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidates.
We are hiring for both morning (AM) and evening (PM) shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock workstations before each shift
- Assist with banquet, catering, restaurant, and special event food preparation
- Maintain quality and consistency while working in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in accordance with health department regulations
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and food rotation as needed
- Work efficiently to meet service deadlines during high-volume events
Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or restaurant cook preferred
- Experience in hotels, banquet facilities, catering, or high-volume kitchens is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
