Summary:Creates delectable and creative menu items in our Farm to Fork Forsyth Grill Restaurant under the direction of our Chef De Cuisine and Chef De Parties and will prepare entrees in our banquet operation. This position will be during our PM dinner service, and have the flexibility to work Sunday shifts occasionally when needed. Flexibility to work varying stations and have a passionate drive to learn something new every day. The Club serves approximately 1,000 member families. Facilities include:* 45,000 sq. ft. clubhouse includes recently remodeled casual dining and bar area; seating 200 inside with seasonal patio seating 150* Multiple banquet rooms that have recently been renovated; including a ballroom that seats up to 330 people.* Men's and ladies' locker rooms* 18-hole Donald Ross golf course* 11 outdoor tennis courts* 2 outdoor platform tennis courts* 4 permanent pickleball courts* 18,000 sq.ft. Pool and Fitness Pavilion including state of the art health and wellness center, pool kitchen area, locker room facilities, and laundry and clubhouse maintenance.Essential Responsibilities:* Prepares dishes in the Forsyth Grill per standards set by our Chef De Cuisine.* Executes production misenplace per station requirements and be set up for service.* Prepares items that are ordered in accordance with established portions and presentation standards.* Notifies Chef De Cuisine and Executive Chef of product needs and quality concerns.* Ensures all production areas and equipment are clean and sanitary before, during, and after service.* Assists the Chef De Cuisine in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen.* Maintains a 5-Star Professional Chef appearance and hygiene standard before arriving.* Sets-up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.* Assist Chef De Parties in requisitioning ingredients needed for production.* Adheres to current state, local, and company health regulations (ServSafe is a plus).* Covers, dates, rotates, organizes, and neatly stores all misenplace throughout the kitchen.* Maintains the highest sanitary standards during production times and addresses concerns.* Communicates efficiently and works as a team with the other cooks and culinary managers.* Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.* Attends company staff meetings when needed.* Assists with other duties as assigned by the Culinary Managers and Supervisors.* Assists Chef De Cuisine in monitoring hot and cold food holding temperatures.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Ability to work professionally under busy conditions and must complete his/her task in an efficient, organized manner, while maintaining a professional demeanor.* Have the desire to excel in the Culinary Arts/Hospitality field of work, and grow their culinary skills.Education, Certification/License and Experience:* Prior experience in restaurants or food production required* Professional Culinary training preferred, but not limited to culinary industry experience* High school diploma requiredBenefits:* Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance* 401(k) with a company match* Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience* Supplemental Insurances* PTO* Employee Meals* Golf Privileges* Employee DevelopmentPhysical Requirements:* Regularly required to talk or hear.* Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.* Ability to walk, stand and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions.
