SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a
Line Lead for a large distribution center located in Niles, IL. The Packaging Line Leader oversees the process for packaging finished goods as well ensures orders are packed properly and efficiently. In particular, they are responsible for ensuring that all confections are packed in a manner that meets or exceeds current efficiency and quality standards. The packaging line leader must be very detailed, organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Available shifts: 1st/2nd
Responsibilities of the Line Lead: - On a daily basis must follow packing line schedule.
- Allocate work, train employees and solve any problems on the packing line.
- Responsible for staff adherence and continuous improvement on the packing line.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the packing line to assure that safety and best practices are maximized.
- Prepare all paperwork needed: creating job tickets, creating lot codes and printing labels needed for the packing line.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out completely, turned in at the end of the day.
- Responsible for the product quality control on the packing line.
- Check/verify all wholesale/private label order before shipping.
- Perform cycle counts of physical inventories.
- Authority to stop the line for any Food Safety or Quality issues / concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cooler and freezers.
- Making sure that all the goods are stocked in on organized manner.
- Communicate on low level inventories of product and packaging.
- Follow FIFO inventory (First In First Out).
Preferred Qualifications of the Line Lead: - Previous leadership experience in warehouse environment.
- Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong time management of self and others.
