Line Mechanic
PROMAN Staffing Solutions is hiring a Line Mechanic for our client in Montgomery, IL. This is a hands-on role responsible for operating, setting up, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing high-speed packaging equipment while supporting daily production operations.
Pay: $34.25 per hour
Location: Montgomery, IL (On-Site)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Current schedules include:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Candidates must be able to work any schedule and overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high-speed packaging equipment.
Perform equipment changeovers and adjustments.
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Work with filling and labeling equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation.
Support equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Assist with equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
Operate forklifts after successfully completing required training.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with high-speed packaging equipment within the last 7 years.
Experience with machine setup, changeovers, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience with filling and labeling equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including motors, sensors, solenoids, and pneumatic valves.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Basic machining skills, including drill presses, power tools, precision measuring tools, machine assembly/disassembly, and pump repair.
Ability to pass equipment operator training and forklift certification requirements.
Ability to work any schedule and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Experience rebuilding and overhauling packaging equipment.
Experience with computer-based diagnostics.
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Experience with photo-electrical registration systems.
Lathe operation experience.
