Trident Seafoods is North America"s largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Summary:
Line Operator will set up, monitor, and adjust the processing equipment to ensure all product specifications are met by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions:
Sets up equipment such as pumps, choppers, slitters, wrapper belts, and conveyors.
Monitors equipment and product, collects, examines, measures, weighs, and tests product to verify machine setup and conformance of product to specifications.
Adjusts equipment to regulate flow, color, slit depth, angle of cut, length of pieces and maximize throughput.
Records and maintains production data, such as run time, waste, quantity, type, and dimensions of materials produced.
Dismantles and cleans equipment according to standard sanitation procedures then reassembles it.
Manually feeds on product that has accumulated within required time frame.
Will be cross trained in at least one other production area to assist with break rotations and to remain productive during low volume periods
Travel/On-Call Requirements: not required for this position
This is an hourly non-exempt role from $22.52 to $26.43 per hour. Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Full time employees may be eligible for discretionary/performance-based incentives, medical, dental and vision insurance plans, optional HRA/HSA, telemedicine, employee assistance and wellness programs, long-term disability, basic life and AD&D, and 401(k) with a company match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays each year, and paid parental leave. Fulltime employees accrue vacation each pay period starting on their first day of employment, up to 112 hours per year, and are eligible for up to 48 hours of sick leave per year, in accordance with company policy.

Preferred Education & Experiences:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of production processes, food safety and quality controls typically required in a food manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.
Ability to use hand tools to adjust equipment and measure product.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Will be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
Work Ability Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or grasp items and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel and crouch
The employee lifts and carries objects up to 5 lbs. regularly and up to 25 lbs. occasionally
