MCS is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen staff. Responsibilities
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner, following recipes and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., slicers, choppers, fryers, ovens, stovetops).
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of products at assigned stations.
- Keep a clean and tidy workstation, adhering to all sanitation and food safety standards.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen
- Assist in prep work and receiving/storing deliveries as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Chef, Sous Chef, and front-of-house staff.
- Handle high-pressure situations, including peak service hours, with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role 3 years or more preferred.
- Solid understanding of classic cooking techniques and kitchen terminology.
- Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment.
- Manual dexterity and physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a Food Handler's Card.
