Line Shop Analyst - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Line Shop Analyst for a position with a Major Utility Company located in Northern, NJ. This is a contract to hire opportunity. This position is fully onsite with occasional travel (fully reimbursed).

Compensation: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role involves traveling to various line shops and service centers to meet with managers and review financial data. The focus is to help achieve capitalization targets by providing real-time guidance on accounting policies, improving time charging processes, and ensuring consistency across operating areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct targeted field visits to shops and service centers with lower capitalization rates
• Collaborate with Business Services, Operations, and Accounting Policy teams during shop reviews
• Provide real-time guidance on capitalization decisions to better understand local practices and identify inconsistencies
• Evaluate whether reporting and dashboards can be streamlined to provide leading indicators that help supervisors more effectively review and manage performance
• Develop or refresh Accounting Policy playbooks and guidance documents, translating accounting language to easy-to-understand operations tasks
• Provide targeted training for line supervisors, shop personnel, and Business Services teams to reinforce expectations
• Conduct joint Accounting Policy and Engineering reviews of standard design requirements
• Evaluate existing tools and processes related to time charging for opportunities for improvement

Primary Requirements:

• Experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field, particularly with capitalization targets
• Must be comfortable traveling around Northern NJ to various line shops and service centers
• Ability to meet with managers and directors to review financials and ask probing questions about time and resource allocation
• Strong analytical skills to review various work management tools and reports
• Experience providing guidance or training on financial or accounting policies
