To be Considered for this position qualified candidates will be required to complete ETA Testing October 2026 and TVPPA Climbing School November or December 2026
Duties
Assists the journeyman lineman in simple functions connected with servicing and maintaining transmission and distribution lines, telephone circuits and signal circuits. As his/her experience and ability increase, the work will be varied to include more responsible phases of line work.
It is his/her duty and responsibility to observe all safety regulations and protect his/her fellow employees and the public from hazardous conditions under his control.
He/she is required to complete satisfactorily certain technical and non-technical related training.
Qualifications
a) Some previous experience in electrical work is desirable and the ability to qualify for additional responsibility and further training.
b) The incumbent should be a high school graduate or its equivalent and have attained a satisfactory test score to qualify for the lineman apprenticeship program.
Supervision Received
Supervisor gives detailed instructions on work to be performed and checks completed work.
