Job Summary:

As the Lineman, you will ultimately be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing aerial and underground telecommunications infrastructure while ensuring safe and efficient project execution. You will install, troubleshoot, and restore communication systems and deliver high-quality field construction services. As the Lineman, your customers are telecommunications providers, utility partners, and Congruex project teams, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through quality workmanship, safety, and reliable network construction.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

  • Construct, maintain, repair, and restore aerial and underground telecommunications cable systems, including strand, poles, anchors, conduit, and associated hardware
  • Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and construction prints to complete projects accurately and efficiently
  • Operate construction equipment and power tools while performing cable installation, maintenance, emergency restoration, and system upgrades
  • Complete production reports, As-Built documentation, and ensure all work complies with company safety standards and governmental regulations
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a valid DOT Medical Card

Experience

  • Experience performing aerial and underground telecommunications construction
  • Experience operating construction equipment and working with fiber optic or telecommunications infrastructure

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, work orders, and construction specifications
  • Ability to safely climb poles, work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and safety awareness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Flagger Certification
  • Competent Person Certification
  • Pole Climbing & Ladder Safety Certification
  • Forklift Certification
  • Silica Safety Training
  • Confined Space Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb poles and ladders, kneel, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods
  • Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions, at heights, and in confined spaces around active construction sites
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
