The Linen Technician is an entry-level, hands-on role that supports patient care by making sure clean linen and scrubs are available throughout the hospital. This is a physically demanding position that requires constant movement. You will work closely with clinical departments and help meet their daily linen needs.
Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm and every other weekend

Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required
Experience:
Linen distribution or laundry production experience, preferred
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working directly with clinical departments
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks during the shift
Ability to document information using a handheld device or forms
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and stoop throughout the shift
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of hospital linen or laundry processes
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
Deliver clean linen and scrubs to hospital departments
Collect soiled linen and prepare it for processing
Stock linen rooms and maintain proper par levels
Monitor inventory and record weights and quantities using a handheld device or forms
Remove damaged or outdated linen from use
Respond to department requests in a timely and professional manner
Serve as a liaison between Linen Services and clinical teams
Keep linen storage areas clean, organized, and safe
This role requires walking throughout the hospital for most of the shift. You will frequently lift, push, pull, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods of time.
