Pay Range: $40 - $47/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide linguistic expertise while delivering data for large language models
- Collaborate with other linguists and data operations teams in data collection, data curation, and annotation efforts
- Evaluate and curate data sets for ML models using LLM solutions
- Assess model performance and data quality
- Engage in prompt engineering
- Create guidelines to support labeling projects for consistent language data annotation
- Develop complex and consistent linguistic analyses collaboratively
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- Key Skills; Master’s or PhD in Linguistics, language technologies, computational linguistics, or related field
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, NLP Libraries, and Tools
- 4-5 years of experience working in a Linguist role
- Conversational assistant, ML Support, LLMs
- Bachelor’s degree in general Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or related field
- Experience with regular expression encoding
- Knowledge of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, and other areas of linguistics
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with database queries and data analysis processes (i.e. SQL, spreadsheets)
- Experience working with speech and text data
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and their applications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
