Linguist (Remote)

Pay Range:$55 - $60/hr.

Responsibilities and Required Qualifications:

• Provide linguistic expertise to support the development and delivery of data for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Collaborate with linguists and data operations teams on data collection, curation, and annotation efforts.
• Evaluate and curate datasets for Machine Learning models using LLM-based solutions.
• Assess model performance and overall data quality.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve model outputs and data quality.
• Create clear linguistic guidelines that enable annotators to consistently and accurately label language data.
• Collaboratively develop complex, consistent, and detailed linguistic analyses.
• Experience with regular expression encoding.
• Strong knowledge of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, and other areas of linguistics.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with database queries and data analysis using SQL and spreadsheets.
• Experience working with speech and text data.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and their applications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
