Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Linux server administration (Red Hat and SUSE), including command-line, patching, upgrades, and software install/deploy capabilities.
Hands-on experience with Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) - administering the platform that hosts COBOL workloads on Linux.
Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Developer (sufficient familiarity to support the environment, even though the role is admin-focused).
AWS experience - solid understanding of operating Linux workloads in an AWS environment.
Strong, independently motivated approach to maintaining systems, documenting environments, and problem-solving.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional experience a bonus
DB2 and Teradata interface experience.
Background supporting mainframe-to-cloud lift-and-shift migrations.
Comfort with COBOL, JCL, and control cards in a modernized Linux context.
Ability to demonstrate a questioning attitude toward established work processes and procedures
Advanced knowledge, skills and experience to perform all work requirements for the specific technical discipline; Also proficient in advanced features and functions for the specific technical discipline

Job Description:

Standardized Summary of Qualifications

BA / BS degree in (Please choose Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline) preferred or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines

Advanced degree a plus

The minimum years of experience may be reduced for a candidate who has previously and continuously demonstrated highly effective performance

Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word

SAP a plus

In depth understanding of applicable products and/or services and of client needs and expectations
