Role Overview

• Serve as a Linux Subject Matter Expert with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Provide advanced technical support for mission-critical Linux environments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Linux clustering and high-availability environments.
• Automate Linux administration and configuration management using Ansible.
• Possess working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, network, storage, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in mission-critical environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across:
  • Operating systems.
  • Performance.
  • Storage.
  • Networking.
  • Applications.
• Manage and support Red Hat Cluster environments.
• Ensure high availability and business continuity of clustered Linux systems.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex incidents.
• Implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Automate system administration and configuration management tasks using Ansible.
• Develop and maintain automation processes for operational efficiency.
• Implement system hardening and security best practices.
• Perform Linux patching and operating system upgrades.
• Ensure systems remain compliant with security and operational standards.
• Perform system performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify performance or capacity issues.
• Collaborate with:
  • Application teams.
  • Network teams.
  • Storage teams.
  • Security teams.
  • Infrastructure teams.
• Support cloud-based Linux workloads in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Provide support for AWS services, including:
  • EC2.
  • EBS.

• Provide 24x7 production support for critical Linux environments.
• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
