Linux System Administrator

• In-house SME to administer, monitor, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) systems.
• Configure, secure, and optimize Linux services (systemd, SSH, Apache/Nginx, cron, etc.).
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support enterprise applications.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated system issues.
• Identify, research, and implement Linux and OpenShift solutions and applications.
• Provide support to IT staff for technical and configuration issues related to Linux systems.
• Manage Linux security administration in collaboration with the information security team.
• Stay current on all Linux and OpenShift changes, updates, and new releases and keep IT staff informed on forthcoming changes.
• Work with vendors and other departments as required to support applications and environments.
• Work closely with the IT team to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging server tools and technologies.
• Create and maintain documentation for all Linux and OpenShift processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, patching schedules, and company policies.
• Participation in weekly on-call rotation to respond to after-hours issues.
• Coordinate with the rest of the IT team to meet the team objectives.
• Travel as needed to other data centers to meet business needs.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
