Description
Summary of Qualifications:
- BA / BS degree in (Please choose Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline) preferred or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines.
- Advanced degree a plus.
- The minimum years of experience may be reduced for a candidate who has previously and continuously demonstrated highly effective performance.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word.
- SAP a plus.
- In depth understanding of applicable products and/or services and of client needs and expectations
- 5+ years of Linux server administration (Red Hat and SUSE), including command-line, patching, upgrades, and software install/deploy capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) - administering the platform that hosts COBOL workloads on Linux.
- Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Developer (sufficient familiarity to support the environment, even though the role is admin-focused).
- AWS experience - solid understanding of operating Linux workloads in an AWS environment.
- Strong, independently motivated approach to maintaining systems, documenting environments, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- DB2 and Teradata interface experience.
- Background supporting mainframe-to-cloud lift-and-shift migrations.
- Comfort with COBOL, JCL, and control cards in a modernized Linux context.
