In your letter, we invite you to share the experiences, skills, and perspectives you believe best prepare you to support high-quality literacy instruction across a school site. Strong responses will thoughtfully reflect your ability to work alongside teachers and school teams to strengthen instructional practice and improve student outcomes. While there is no required format, candidates may wish to address areas such as: - Your experience supporting literacy development, including reading, writing, and/or English Language Development across diverse student populations. - Your approach to working with adult learners, including coaching, modeling, facilitating professional learning, or building instructional capacity. - How you use student data and evidence-based practices to inform instruction and intervention. - Your understanding of effective early literacy practices (e.g., structured literacy, foundational skills, language development) and how this informs your work. - Your ability to collaborate with site and district teams to implement coherent, school wide approaches to literacy. We encourage you to use specific examples that demonstrate your impact on teaching and learning. Your letter should reflect your authentic voice and professional values.
