Putnam Middle School is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable individual to join our team as a Literacy Paraeducator. This part-time position supports students in in grades 58 by providing small group and individual assistance in reading and writing, reinforcing classroom instruction, and encouraging strong literacy habits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for helping adolescents grow as readers and writers, work collaboratively with teachers and specialists, and foster a supportive environment where students feel confident and motivated to build their literacy skills. Putnam Middle School offers a strong, collaborative culture of caring educators who leverage resources to nurture and challenge our students. Putnam facilitates strong district-wide alignment and support across all three schools in the district to ensure the student's educational experience prepares them for the real world.

POSITION: Literacy Paraeducator

• Part-Time: 20 hours per week

LOCATION: Putnam Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
• ParaPro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (Required)
• Experience working in a school system preferred
• Experience supporting students in literacy intervention programs preferred

START DATE: August 24, 2026

RATE OF PAY: $20.36 - $22.50 per hour
