This is a full-time temporary assignment (W2 employee) of approximately 90-120 days, with the potential to convert to a regular, full-time position based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do
As our Litigation Adjuster, you'll help guide property and liability claims through the litigation process while providing thoughtful, responsive service to our policyholders.
You'll work closely with defense counsel, Claims leadership, and other partners to evaluate claims, develop resolution strategies, and navigate complex coverage and legal matters. From investigations and negotiations to mediations and settlements, you'll play an important role in ensuring claims are handled fairly, accurately, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Investigate & Manage Claims
Manage first-party property and third-party liability claims, including claims in litigation.
Investigate coverage, liability, damages, bodily injury exposure, and reserves to support informed decisions.
Coordinate inspections, expert evaluations, and claim documentation while keeping stakeholders informed.
Partner & Resolve
Collaborate with defense counsel and Claims leadership on litigation strategies, negotiations, and settlement opportunities.
Participate in mediations, appraisals, depositions, and court proceedings as needed.
Communicate with policyholders, attorneys, public adjusters, contractors, and other partners to support timely claim resolution.
Maintain Compliance & Quality
Prepare coverage letters, settlement responses, and other claim communications while maintaining accurate documentation.
Review and respond to Civil Remedy Notices (CRNs) and Notices of Intent to Initiate Litigation (NILs), ensuring applicable deadlines are met.
Identify potential fraud, subrogation opportunities, and significant exposures while following company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate & Support Growth
Partner with colleagues across Claims and Legal to share knowledge and support consistent claim handling.
Support special projects, litigation initiatives, and team development through knowledge sharing and guidance as needed.
Support catastrophe response efforts when business needs arise.
What You'll Bring
4-6 years of Florida property claims handling experience.
Active Florida 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License.
Experience handling complex claims, including coverage evaluations, negotiations, and litigation-related matters.
Proficiency with Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to interpret insurance policies, coverage provisions, and claim-handling requirements.
A collaborative, service-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Ability to balance multiple claims and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Experience handling claims across multiple states, including New York, California, or Texas, is valuable.
