Litigation Associate

Are you ready to shine?  Miller Berger, LLC is seeking an experienced Corporate and Commercial Litigation Associate who enjoys the practice of law and wants to continue to hone one's skills.   We value honesty, preparation, and responsive client service.   We are looking for people who are willing to work hard and enjoy doing it, and who want  both the challenges and the rewards of servicing our clients' legal needs. 

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience including the review and preparation of corporate documents and contracts, conducting legal research, drafting briefs, preparing, and arguing motions, handling fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparation.  Real Estate experience a plus!

The ideal candidate should be creative, competitive, resourceful, a team player, accountable and responsible, an excellent writer and oral communicator, and eager to join a supportive and collaborative culture of lawyers and professionals.  

Interested candidates should reside in the Chicagoland area and be willing to work in person daily in our Arlington Heights location.  

Required Qualifications

·        2+ years of litigation experience;

·        Demonstrated ability to independently handle all aspects of litigation cases;

·        Strong legal writing;

·        Sound judgment and discretion;

·        Ability to assume responsibility for an established active caseload promptly.

·        Licensed and in good standing in the State of Illinois

·        License and in good standing in Wisconsin or Indiana is a plus

 ·       Proficient in MS Excel and Word; experience with iManage a plus
