Prominent full-service nationwide law firm with over 40 years of experience representing survivors of catastrophic and traumatic events is seeking a full-time attorney with 5+ years experience in plaintiff's personal injury litigation. This role may involve assisting in the Child Victims Act litigation. The successful candidate should be capable of managing his/her own caseload with supervision.
Responsibilities include:
Drafting complaints,
Responding to and propounding discovery,
Responding to demurrers,
Case settlement negotiation,
Conducting depositions, and jury trials.
Medical records review
Qualifications:
Must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
5+ Years of practice experience in Plaintiff personal injury litigation.
Must be admitted to the NY bar in good standing
Must have superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well as a team with other attorneys, colleagues, support staff, and court personnel
Must have excellent organizational skills
Must be able to efficiently and professionally correspond with courts and opposing counsel
Benefits
salary commensurate with experience, bonus of 40% of attorney fees for cases brought in, as well as year-end merit-based bonuses
