Location
This is an on-site position based in our Burlington, Vermont office, with occasional travel to other offices as needed. We strongly prefer candidates who are already in the area or have meaningful ties to Vermont or Northern New England.
Note
Candidates must have an active law license in good standing, and strong research, writing, and communication skills. Vermont Bar admission is strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Support a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, business litigation, contract disputes, investigations, government enforcement, white collar defense, medical malpractice defense, professional licensing, and other complex matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysis.
- Assist with discovery, motion practice, case strategy, client communications, hearings, and negotiations.
- Work directly with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters.
- Collaborate with a team that values excellent client service, strong advocacy, practical judgment, and professional growth.
- Take on increasing responsibility as your skills and experience develop.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of litigation experience strongly preferred
- Active law license in good standing.
- Vermont Bar admission strongly preferred.
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Discovery, motion practice, commercial litigation, complex litigation, government enforcement, investigations, white collar defense, medical malpractice defense, or professional licensing experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Vermont or Northern New England ties are strongly preferred.
