Location: Des Moines, Iowa - full-time onsite role in a collaborative, in-office team environment.
Note: Must have 3+ years of litigation experience and outstanding academic performance. Must be admitted to the Iowa Bar or able to promptly obtain admission. Independent litigation practice experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description- Handle lower-complexity litigation matters with the ability to manage cases independently from early stage through resolution
- Develop case strategy, assess risk, and drive matters forward with minimal oversight
- Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and manage written discovery
- Take and defend depositions and work with experts as needed
- Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and court conferences
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court in a professional, solutions-oriented manner
- Maintain strong organization, deadlines, and detailed file management across multiple active matters
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on higher-stakes matters as needed, contributing strong research and writing support
Qualifications- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience (law firm or comparable)
- Admission to the Iowa Bar or ability to promptly obtain admission
- Outstanding grades and a strong academic record
- Strong legal writing, research, and practical judgment
- Proven ability to run straightforward cases independently and manage deadlines without hand-holding
- Independent litigation practice experience is preferred
