The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and outstanding results. We are seeking a motivated Litigation (Associate) Attorney to join our team and help manage a dynamic caseload while advocating for injured clients throughout the pre-litigation process.This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to further develop their litigation, negotiation, and case strategy skills while working closely with an experienced leadership team. We are open to attorneys at various stages of their careers, including newer attorneys with strong personal injury experience and a solid understanding of California statutes, deadlines, and pre-litigation procedures.The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines, evaluating cases, negotiating settlements, and filing lawsuits when necessary to protect our clients' interests.What Success Looks LikeProactively managing statutes of limitations and critical deadlinesTimely identification of cases requiring lawsuit filingEffective settlement negotiations resulting in favorable client outcomesStrong collaboration with Case Managers and support staffConsistent communication with clients throughout the life of their caseAccurate evaluation of liability, damages, and settlement valueProtecting clients' rights through timely legal action when necessaryResponsibilitiesManage a pre-litigation caseload from intake through resolutionMonitor and manage statutes of limitations and critical legal deadlinesEvaluate liability, damages, and overall case valueHandle settlement negotiations with insurance carriers and opposing partiesDraft, prepare, and file pre-litigation lawsuits and legal pleadings as neededReview medical records, billing records, police reports, and supporting documentationCommunicate directly with clients regarding case status and legal strategyCollaborate with Case Managers, Medical Records Coordinators, and firm leadershipIdentify cases requiring escalation into formal litigationMaintain accurate case documentation and notes within case management systemsEnsure compliance with California legal procedures and firm protocolsDesired Skills & QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar1-5+ years of experience in personal injury and/or pre-litigation law preferredStrong understanding of California personal injury law and pre-litigation proceduresStrong knowledge of statutes of limitations and filing requirementsKnowledge of government claim timelines, deadlines, and statutory requirementsKnowledge of uninsured/underinsured motorist timelines, deadlines, and proceduresExperience drafting, preparing, and filing lawsuits and legal pleadingsStrong negotiation and settlement evaluation skillsAbility to evaluate liability, damages, and settlement valueStrong legal research, analytical, and writing abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficientlyHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentExperience in plaintiff personal injury litigation preferredSalary range: $110,000 - $170,000 DOEMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid holidays and paid time offProfessional growth and development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentHybrid eligibility after 90 days, based on performanceOpportunity to grow within a fast-paced and evolving plaintiff law firmThe Capital Law Firm, P.C. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a professional, collaborative, and results-driven workplace.#J-18808-Ljbffr
