Litigation Associate Attorney

A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a litigation associate to support its expanding Financial Services practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with several years of commercial litigation experience who enjoys handling complex disputes, collaborating with experienced litigators, and working directly with sophisticated financial industry clients.

Attorneys interested in securities litigation, regulatory matters, and financial services disputes are encouraged to apply. Experience with FINRA arbitration or financial regulatory compliance is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and other case-related filings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues.
• Take and defend depositions, participate in mediations, and attend hearings.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, document review, and case organization.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas on sophisticated business disputes.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri Bar license.
• Approximately 3–5 years of litigation experience.
• Background in commercial litigation required.
• Experience with financial institutions, securities matters, FINRA arbitration, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional client service.
