Role 1 - Litigation Associate | 1–4 Years | Austin, Texas
** an Austin litigation firm, is seeking a 1–4 year associate to join its insurance and business litigation practice.
This is a full-time opportunity for a junior litigator who wants real hands-on experience, meaningful training, and a clear path toward managing their own docket. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys during the first several months, gaining practical experience in case assessment, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, ADR, trial preparation, and client communication.
As the associate builds confidence and demonstrates readiness, they will take on increasing responsibility and begin managing their own cases with continued partner support.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Interest in deposition, hearing, courtroom, and trial experience
  • Self-motivation and good judgment
  • Interest in becoming a well-rounded litigator
The firm offers reasonable billing expectations, with minimum billables of 1,800 hours, along with guaranteed billing bonuses for attorneys who exceed that target.
Benefits include medical coverage, PTO, 401(k), bar dues, CLE, and relocation assistance for out-of-town candidates.
This is primarily an in-person position in Austin, Texas, though the firm is remote-capable and flexible when occasional remote work is needed.
Qualified candidates should submit a resume, writing sample, and cover letter with salary requirements.
