Litigation Associate

Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Location: Primarily on-site in Beverly Hills, California, providing daily collaboration with an experienced litigation team. Limited remote flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and have 5+ years of litigation experience with the ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload independently from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents for California state and federal courts.
• Conduct all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Prepare witnesses and experts for hearings, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Represent clients during negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Provide strategic legal advice and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners on complex, high-value litigation matters.
• Assist with litigation strategy, legal research, and case development.
• Support business development efforts and cultivate client relationships.
• Mentor junior legal professionals as the team continues to grow.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and state and federal court practice.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Experience from a law firm, in-house legal department, or solo practice with substantial litigation responsibility is welcomed.
