We are on the lookout for a highly motivated, experienced, and talented Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing top-tier legal services to our diverse clientele. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to work with some of the industry's most respected legal professionals in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate, your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in all stages of litigation, in both state and federal courts.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and preparing discovery requests and responses.
3. Conducting and defending depositions, arguing motions, and participating in trial preparation and trial.
4. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.
5. Collaborating with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to manage caseloads from start to finish.
6. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal precedents, changes in laws and regulations, and advancements in legal technology that are relevant to commercial litigation.
8. Adhering to professional ethics and maintaining client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Litigation Associate position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission (Or upcoming) to the New York State Bar.
3. Experience and strong interest in litigation.
4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
5. Proficiency in using legal research software and other legal technology.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centric approach to legal practice.
8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high professional standards and ethical conduct.
10. Proven track record of effectively managing multiple cases and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
