    Description

    A respected mid-size defense law firm in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated litigation matters while enjoying a collaborative work environment, strong compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients throughout all phases of civil litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trial proceedings.Develop and implement effective case strategies.Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation matters.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.Prepare and respond to written discovery.Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties.Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.Attend court appearances and advocate on behalf of clients before judges and tribunals.Manage cases from inception through resolution while maintaining exceptional client service.Handle cases ranging from personal injury defense, insurance coverage, trucking liability defense, and premises liability defense.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school.Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Missouri, or eligible for admission.Prior civil litigation experience preferred.Experience handling cases from inception through resolution.Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Ability to effectively manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Competitive compensation package.Generous bonus structure with an annual billable requirement of 1,800 hours.401(k) with employer matching.Paid time off and comprehensive benefits package.Strong mentorship and professional development opportunities.Supportive and collaborative firm culture.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established defense firm that values attorney development, teamwork, and long-term career growth.Please apply today to learn more or reach out to Evie Dean at evie@juristemps.com or by calling 816-673-2418.#J-18808-Ljbffr
